Hola bookstagrammers! How about a story full of witty and humourous happenings in the daily life of a celebrity wife?
I’m pretty sure y’all know Mrs. Twinkle Khanna, wife of Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar. She needs no introduction! Twinkle Khanna, aka Mrs Funnybones, crafts satirical stories and funny fables when she’s not running a design business, selling candles or running in circles around her small but rather odd family. She has two kids, one a mere toddler and the other a lil grown up boy. Along with this, she has to listen to her mummyji, who always seems to worry about her weight and the state of the country.
There are multiple funny anecdotes derived from the author’s life, sprinkled with massive amounts of humour and doused with a lil bit if realism. Now why it has little amount of reality is that she belongs to the elitist class of people and the average Indian woman to relate to her experiences. However, since it is mostly about being a mother, this is where most women can probably relate to! This book has a plenty of self-deprecating humour with witty innuendos and addresses pressing matters in a lighthearted and breezy manner, without being too preachy!–
The author is absolutely funniest and I loved her writing style! She has a clever and peculiar way of looking at life which is quite amusing. This book not only has day-to-day incidents with the man of the house, her prodigal son and baby, but also nonchalantly humours feminism, patriarchy, saas-bahu culture and so on!
” 𝙎𝙝𝙚’𝙨 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖 𝙡𝙤𝙩 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙢𝙚!”It was refreshing to see a celebrity wife in the avatar of an ordinary, working mother of two with a flair for milking out humor from everyday scenarios.
