Hola bookstagrammers! How about an irresistible will-they-won’t-they read of love?
Noah Calhoun has just returned from World War II to his New Bern, his homeland. Attempting to escape the ghosts of his last, he tries to distract himself by involving in restoring an old plantation home to its former glory. And yet, he’s haunted by images of the beautiful girl Allie he met there in summer fourteen years ago, a girl who captured his heart like no other.
When these distinct memories begin to slide into reality, the passion that had been dormant is ignited once more. As he sees Allie after so many years, he’s still trying to figure out if he’s dreaming or its real! But Allie is engaged to Lon, a successful rich lawyer. What happens when they meet after so long? Whom will Allie choose as her soulmate — Noah or Lon? Will Noah be able to survive if Allie leaves him again?
The author has weaved a pretty much predictable love story, but the simplicity with which it’s written with evocative feelings is what made me complete the book despite its flaws! I loved Noah’s character so much, was awed by the descriptions of his house and the creek, felt sympathy towards Lon and was confused as much as Allie! Also the lovely letters and cute little poems in the book made it more likeable.

The best part is the the questions at the end which make us wonder a lot about this love saga. Also, a Q & A and know about the author is included. If you love cliched romances and are in need of a good cry, then pick up this one!
