👄 Family plays a crucial role in a typical Indian household when it comes to romance. As daughters, we aren’t always allowed to choose our life partner and rather our family chooses the ‘perfect’ fit for us. And when we dare to go against and fall in love, all hell breaks loose. Haven’t we heard of atleast one such above instance?
👄”Being in love doesn’t mean that you forgo the principles that you’ve stood by so strongly all these years!’ This line hit me hard and summarized the modern-day love story well! Anu and Abhi, are the protagonists aka lovers in this story. Anupama is a sweet, chirpy and immature girl, while Abhiram is smart, gentle and a matured guy. As destiny plays along, they meet at their workplace and are paired as programmers. Slowly, they become a pair themselves and are at the peak of blissful love!
👄 Abhi is raised by a single mother and yearns for a complete family. Anu is brought up in a close-knit family with an overprotective brother. They fall in love without thinking about the consequences of their families finding out. How do their families reconcile? Will their love be accepted?
👄 Kudos to the author for writing a love story that’s so emotionally relatable with strong individual characters. I’m sure we would crave friends like Anu and Abhi’s gang. I admired Abhi’s mother grit to raise her son single-handedly. Two incidents that stuck out were the chit passing and trekking ones. I thoroughly enjoyed both the situations and they reminded me of ny school and college days. I remember passing chits during substitution periods in school and having so much fun!
👄 The book has two parts — when love blooms and when it gets tested. Overall, a feel-good book that’s emotional, fast-paced, and humourous at times. It’s a breezy one-time read that pampers the readers with pure and unadulterated love portrayed so poignantly!
