Imagine you’re sitting in a floating casino, enjoying the loud singing and grooving to the splendid music. And then the next day you hear that the same band who performed at the casino is gunned down. Now, this set makes for an exciting thriller. Read on to know more!
Roger Fernandez aka Ruz is a popular Goan singer, songwriter, musician, and composer. His singing partner Zoey is equally talented and is born into a family of ministers. After a splendid performance at Big Daddy, the floating casino, as they were returning home, the whole entourage was gunned down by masked shooters. Will they survive the shooting and tell their side of the story? Can the shooters be caught and the truth revealed?
Constables Babu and Gauresh were patrolling nearby and heard gunshots. As they raced to chase the shooters, Babu gets fatally shot. ACP Rathore, a thorough professional at his job — candid and observant, is assigned the investigation of the shooting case. There are so many suspects, with each having a good motive for shooting the victims.
First of all, kudos to Vishal sir for writing a thrilling story. He oscillates between the past and present in alternate chapters with ease. I loved his exemplary descriptions of Goa and longed to visit the casino! The story had held me from the start and had ample scope to pan out into a thrilling tale with an exciting ending, but to be honest, it became very predictable towards the end. Also, the end seemed rushed. I feel the author could have done a better job at editing as there were avoidable errors in certain pages.
This is a super-quick read and perfect to finish in a single sitting. For beginners looking to start with mystery novels, I would definitely recommend this!
